National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
What is NDIS and NDIA?
The NDIS stands for the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It is a way of providing support for Australians with disability, their families and carers, which puts you in the driving seat. The NDIA stands for the National Disability Insurance Agency and is the organisation that implements the NDIS, ensuring people with disability get the support they need.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing individualised support for eligible people with permanent and significant disability, their families and carers. The National Disability Insurance Scheme is the insurance that gives us all peace of mind. Disability could affect anyone - having the right support makes a big difference. Parent Connect and Cootharinga North Queensland has been successfully involved in providing services and supports under the NDIS since its initial roll-out to Townsville in 2016. This has allowed us to confidently assist eligible recipient’s access and transition to the NDIS throughout North Queensland during this roll-out period and continue to strongly provide to your NDIS plan and goals now that it has been fully implemented throughout Queensland.
