Business Award Winners
The best of Wyndham’s business community have been recognised, with the winners of the Wyndham Business Awards announced last week.
Essence Food Studio were the big winners at the Awards ceremony last week, taking out the prestigious Business of the Year award.
Essence Food Studio provides a unique experience that combines cooking classes with dinner and entertainment.
Their business has been featured on television lifestyle programs, in newspaper editorials and feature magazine articles promoting the business, and by extension the City of Wyndham, to the rest of Australia.
Other winners for the 2009 awards are:
* PatAsh and Civil in the Small Service category;
* Toyota Boshoku in the Large Manufacturing category;
* WynCity Entertainment in the Arts and Entertainment category;
* Port Phillip Prison in the Large Service category;
* Plum Heating and Cooling in the retail category;
* Miss Stevie Hair Studio in the Small New and Emerging category;
* BB’s Café at Werribee Plaza in the franchise category;
* Tollman in the Manufacturing category;
* Essence Food Studio in the Tourism category;
* Hoppers Crossing Physiotherapy Centre in the Medium service category;
* Scherbra Automotive Group in the Micro Service category;
* Arban in the Medium New and Emerging category;
* Polar Fresh Cold Chain Services in the Transport and Storage category;
* Paul’s Traditional Bakery and Café in the Micro New and Emerging category; and
* CREATE Wyndham won the Mayoral Award.
The Business Awards are about recognising the important contribution that businesses make to the social and economic prosperity of Wyndham.
Wyndham is home to over 7000 businesses, and these awards play a vital role in recognising the outstanding achievements of these varied local businesses.
